Deep Blue Cold — Cinematic Night LUT for CapCut & TikTok

Cold & Desaturated Universal (Any Log) .cube 864.2 KB

Strongly cool and desaturated with full contrast retained — a hard cold push for night-set footage that keeps its bite instead of going muddy. Pairs well with blue and white stage lighting, and gives phone footage shot in the dark a deliberate look rather than an accidental one. Free .cube for CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro.

What this LUT does

Measured from the file itself: it adds contrast (about 14% steeper through the midtones); pulls saturation down around 30%; takes blacks to zero; leans cool shadows, cool midtones, cool highlights.

Lattice32×32×32 (32,768 points)
Midtone contrast+14% against the input
Saturation−30% on average across the primaries and secondaries
Black point0 IRE
Mid grey out51 IRE
Neutral castshadows cool, midtones cool, highlights cool
Highlight clippingnone in the probes tested

How this was measured: a 21-step neutral ramp and nine saturated probes are pushed through the lattice and compared with what went in. Contrast is the slope between 35% and 65% input; saturation is the mean change in distance from the grey axis; the cast is the direction a neutral input comes out at three heights. Rec.709 luma throughout — the same coefficients the previewer uses, so these numbers describe the image in the slider above.
